June sales strong in Park City Market!


$7m June sale in The Colony at Canyons!

June is one of our favorite months in Park City!  It warms up but not too hot, snow melts, bike trails open up, golf opens, and mountains turn bright green!   July crowds not  quite here just yet.  There is even still skiing at Snowbird!  We love the transition months in the mountains!

 June has also proved to be a good start to the summer real estate season.  So far in June, we have seen 110 closed transactions in the Park City market, vs. 87 same period last year.   That includes trophy ski homes in The Colony, Bellemont, Knoll Estates, Evergreen, and trophy condos at Montage  and Stein Eriksen Lodge!  



That also includes the 12 unit investor "bulk sale" of Silver Baron condos in Deer Valley for a
 cool  10M! 

In the overall market, the first 5 months stats show single family home sales volume up 20% over last year YTD, at an average sales price 4% higher,  while condominium sales volume is down 25% same period!    Interesting to see a 45% difference is volume demand for homes over condominium properties in the market!   Land (lot) sales volume is likewise up in the Park City market , 31% over 2010 ytd!

Promontory    Sales also continue briskly at the gated Promontory golf course community this year.   With 20 homes and 53 lots sold so far this year, versus only 18 Promontory lots sold same period last year, the good value of homes and lots in this beautiful neighborhood continues to attract value hunters!
